Halmore Power Co. Ltd. owns and operates a 225 MW dual-fuel combined cycle power plant operating as an Independent Power Producer (IPP) located at Bhikhi district, Sheikhupura, Punjab, Pakistan. Company was incorporated in Pakistan on 31st March 2005 and granted Generation License in July 2006 by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). Power Purchase Agreement was signed with NTDC on 28th April 2007 and Financial Close was achieved on 30th April 2008. Power plant is into its Commercial Operations since 25th June 2011.

Power Plant is owned by UK based group of investors who have been mainly in London niche real estate market holding most properties in prime areas of central London i.e. Mayfair, Belgravia and Kensington. Sponsors were invited by the Government of Pakistan to invest in Pakistan Power Sector. By 2005, Sponsors committed to invest in this sector by incorporating Halmore Power Generation Company Limited. In addition to the Power Sector, they are exploring investment opportunities in LNG sector, Oil & Gas, Hotels and infrastructure projects.
Technology
Halmore Power is a combined cycle power plant with a capacity of approximately 225 MW (Gross) and 209 MW (net) at site conditions. Project configuration is two gas turbines of model GE MS6111FA+e Gas Turbines out of Belfort, France, two Heat Recovery Steam Generators and one Steam Turbine of 77MW capacity supplied by GE-Nouvo Pignone, Italy. A state of art waste treatment plant and a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) are installed to ensure that the plant meets World Bank Guidelines for emissions and all the requirements of Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency.
